Founded in 1918, Harris Plumbing & Heating is a family-owned and operated organization dedicated to providing expert plumbing solutions with a commitment to quality, safety, and professionalism. With over a century of experience, we have built a reputation as trusted sanitary professionals, serving residential, commercial, and industrial clients with reliability and precision.
We handle a wide range of plumbing needs, from new installations to retrofits, ensuring that systems operate efficiently and meet all regulatory standards. While we do not install or replace water mains and sewers, our expertise covers everything else.
We work closely with the DOB, DEP and FDNY to ensure compliance with all city regulations, helping clients navigate complex requirements and resolve violations efficiently. Our deep understanding of local codes and regulations allows us to provide seamless solutions that prioritize public health, safety, and efficiency.

Meet Our Owners

Pasquale Quaratino
Pasquale Quaratino, the current President, is a highly respected master plumber and fire suppression expert with decades of experience in the industry. Born on July 5, 1962, in Brooklyn, NY, he moved with his family to Altamura, a town in the Puglia region of Italy’s Bari province, when he was about a year old. In 1981, he immigrated back to the United States in pursuit of a better life and a brighter future for his family.
Upon returning to the U.S., Pasquale began his plumbing career working for Lenny Meyerowitz from 1981 to 1985. He then joined Harris Plumbing and Heating in 1985, training under the direct supervision of Paul Harris. Through years of dedication and hands-on experience, he earned his Master Plumber License (#1370) in 1993 and his Fire Suppression License (#392-B) in 1994. That same year, he purchased Harris Plumbing and Heating, taking on a leadership role in the company’s operations and service excellence.
Pasquale also holds an S-12 Certificate of Fitness from the FDNY (License #85867125) and has been a member of the Master Plumber Council of New York City since 1993. With a deep passion for public health and safety, he is committed to ensuring that plumbing systems meet the highest standards of sanitation and efficiency. His compassionate and patient approach has earned him the trust and respect of both clients and colleagues alike.

Salvatore Quaratino
Salvatore Quaratino is a highly skilled and forward-thinking plumbing and fire protection engineer with a strong commitment to public health and safety. Born on June 1, 1988, in Brooklyn, NY, and raised in Manhasset, NY, Salvatore developed a passion for engineering early on. He attended Manhasset High School before earning his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Polytechnic University.
Salvatore began his professional career at Mottola Rini Engineers, where he worked as a plumbing and fire protection engineer until 2018. Since then, he has been an integral part of Harris Plumbing and Heating, bringing his expertise, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail to every project. In 2025, he was named Vice President of the company, further solidifying his leadership role.
As a certified backflow tester (License #9941), Salvatore plays a crucial role in protecting water systems from contamination, reinforcing his commitment to health and safety. He is currently on track to obtain his Master Plumber License by late 2025 or early 2026, marking a significant milestone in his career.
With a reputation for innovation and precision, Salvatore continues to drive excellence in the industry, staying ahead of evolving technologies and best practices in plumbing and fire protection engineering. His dedication to ensuring safe and efficient plumbing and sanitation systems reflects his deep care for the well-being of the public.
